Reception Security Officer (Office Tower)

Steady 12-hour shifts at an industrial park in Mossel Bay for PSIRA-registered officers. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

This post is Mossel Bay-based, with most of your time spent at an industrial park. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Open and close boom gates for residents, deliveries and contractors
• Check visitors' IDs and capture them on the visitor app or in the gate register
• Watch for loitering, broken fencing and open doors during night patrols
• Search vehicles and bags leaving the site when company policy requires it
• Hand out and collect contractor access cards
• Keep the guardhouse clean and the OB up to date for the relieving officer
• Direct traffic and parking during school drop-off or big events

• Clean criminal record
• Physically fit for foot patrols
• Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends
• Alert, polite and firm with the public
• Speaks and writes basic English

• Experience on estate access apps or biometric readers
• Previous experience at a similar site type
• Firefighting or evacuation training

• Provident fund contributions
• Chance to be upgraded to Grade B with training
• Uniform, boots and winter jacket issued

• Make sure your PSIRA fees are paid. A lapsed registration gets your CV thrown out, even if you have years of experience.
• Arrive for the interview in neat clothes with your certificates in a plastic sleeve. It shows the discipline they want.
