Job Description

Hit your collection targets at this retail credit centre in Pretoria West and your commission shows it. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

This post is Pretoria West-based, with most of your time spent at a retail credit centre. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

What you'll actually do

Hand accounts over for legal action once internal steps are exhausted.
Dial through your arrears book on the auto-dialler and confirm the debtor's identity.
Track broken promises-to-pay and follow up within 48 hours.
Keep calls within the National Credit Act and the Debt Collectors Act rules.
Record reasons for non-payment so the credit team can adjust policy.

Must-haves

At least 6 months in collections, sales or a call centre
Good with numbers, dates and payment calculations
You keep your tone respectful even when the debtor is not
Matric
Clear credit and criminal record
Target-driven and comfortable with commission

Nice if you have

A second South African language
Experience on a collections system such as Debtmaster or a dialler platform
Knowledge of the NCA and prescription rules
