Reliability Engineer (Rotating Equipment)

This food and beverage factory in Centurion needs a mechanical engineer who is as comfortable on the plant floor as in the design office. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

The work is in Centurion, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day.

• Write scopes of work and compare contractor quotes
• Design conveyors, chutes and structures in SolidWorks or Inventor
• Run vibration, thermography and oil analysis programmes on critical equipment
• Hold the GMR 2.1 appointment and keep machinery safety legal on site
• Manage shutdowns: planning, spares, contractors and safe restart
• Analyse breakdowns with root cause methods and fix the cause, not the symptom

• Code 08 licence for site visits
• Three or more years working as a qualified engineer, in industry or consulting
• Able to manage contractors and budgets
• Confident with 3D CAD software and engineering calculations

• Experience with SAP PM for maintenance
• Government Certificate of Competency (Mechanical, Factories)
• Finite element analysis skills
