Job Description

You'll keep the plant reliable and improve how it runs at the petrochemical plant in Rosslyn. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

Home base is a petrochemical plant on the Rosslyn side of Gauteng. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

The work, day to day

Prepare the maintenance budget and report monthly on spend
Sign off modifications and keep drawings and records current
Manage shutdowns: planning, spares, contractors and safe restart
Check pressure vessels for compliance with the Pressure Equipment Regulations and SANS 347
Write scopes of work and compare contractor quotes
Hold the GMR 2.1 appointment and keep machinery safety legal on site

What you need

Able to manage contractors and budgets
Three or more years working as a qualified engineer, in industry or consulting
Confident with 3D CAD software and engineering calculations
Working knowledge of the OHS Act and General Machinery Regulations
