Resident Engineer (Municipal Infrastructure)

Roads, water, buildings: the structural design practice in Komani needs a civil engineer who can take a project from design to site. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

You'll report in Komani. Relocation is not covered for this one.

• Chair site meetings and handle contractor queries
• Design water pipelines, sewers and stormwater systems with hydraulic software
• Check drawings from technicians and sign them for issue
• Prepare tender documents under GCC 2015 or NEC contracts
• Work out loads to SANS 10160 for buildings and structures

• Able to explain technical issues to clients and contractors
• BEng, BSc Eng or BTech in Civil Engineering
• Good grasp of South African design codes for your field
• Code 08 licence and willingness to spend time on site
• Registered with ECSA as a professional or candidate
• At least 3 years in design or construction supervision

• Registration with SAICE and active CPD
• Experience on public sector infrastructure projects
