Retail Security Officer (Clothing Store)

You'll catch shoplifting and stock losses at a supermarket in Ermelo before they cost jobs. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

The work is in Ermelo, Mpumalanga, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

• Search staff bags at exit points according to store policy
• Record every incident with photos, times and value of goods
• Help with stock counts and point out loss hot-spots
• Review CCTV footage to confirm suspected theft
• Check receiving bay deliveries against invoices and seal numbers
• Tag high-value stock and check security tags at the doors
• Attend court as a witness when a case goes to trial

• Able to handle confrontation calmly

• Knowledge of lawful arrest and search under the Criminal Procedure Act
• Available for retail hours including month-end weekends
