Retail Security Officer (Clothing Store)

You'll catch shoplifting and stock losses at a building-supplies store in Komani before they cost jobs. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

The work is in Komani, Eastern Cape, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day.

• Help with stock counts and point out loss hot-spots
• Search staff bags at exit points according to store policy
• Attend court as a witness when a case goes to trial
• Record every incident with photos, times and value of goods
• Share trends with the store manager each week
• Check receiving bay deliveries against invoices and seal numbers

• Knowledge of lawful arrest and search under the Criminal Procedure Act
• Matric or equivalent NQF Level 4
• Available for retail hours including month-end weekends
• Able to handle confrontation calmly
• PSIRA registration, Grade C at least

• Understanding of stock systems and shrinkage reports
• Retail loss prevention course
• Previous store detective experience with case outcomes
