Job Description

Blend in, watch closely and act lawfully: that is loss prevention at an electronics store in Pretoria East. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

The work is in Pretoria East, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day.

What you'll actually do

Attend court as a witness when a case goes to trial
Review CCTV footage to confirm suspected theft
Record every incident with photos, times and value of goods
Walk the floor in plain clothes and watch for shoplifting behaviour
Search staff bags at exit points according to store policy
Share trends with the store manager each week

You'll need

Discreet, observant and honest
Good report writing
Knowledge of lawful arrest and search under the Criminal Procedure Act
PSIRA registration, Grade C at least
Able to handle confrontation calmly
