Retail Security Officer (Clothing Store)

Retail in Springs runs on thin margins, and a retail distribution centre needs someone guarding its stock. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

You'll report in Springs. Relocation is not covered for this one. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Share trends with the store manager each week
• Check receiving bay deliveries against invoices and seal numbers
• Record every incident with photos, times and value of goods
• Detain suspects lawfully and call SAPS, then write a statement
• Search staff bags at exit points according to store policy

• PSIRA registration, Grade C at least
• Good report writing
• Able to handle confrontation calmly
• Knowledge of lawful arrest and search under the Criminal Procedure Act

• Experience giving evidence in court
• Previous store detective experience with case outcomes
• Understanding of stock systems and shrinkage reports

• Retail trading hours, no night shift in most stores
• Plain clothes work (no uniform in detective roles)
