Returns Processing Hand – Fixed-Term

This is steady, physical warehouse work at a building-supplies depot in East London, and nobody minds if it's your first job. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

The site is in East London; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying.

• Scan every item so the system shows the right stock count
• Move pallets with a hand pallet jack to the dispatch lane
• Unpack returned parcels and sort them into resell or write-off
• Replenish empty pick faces from overstock racking
• Keep aisles clear of plastic, cardboard and loose pallets
• Wear thermal gear and rotate in and out of freezer zones on schedule

• South African ID or a valid work permit
• Grade 10 or higher; matric preferred
• You can read product codes and count accurately
• Clean criminal record (most warehouses run a check)
• Punctual, with reliable transport home after late shifts

• A valid forklift or reach truck certificate
• Basic computer skills for capturing counts

• Staff canteen with subsidised meals
• Permanent appointment for reliable temps after peak season
• Chance to be trained on forklift after probation

• If you have done any stock counts, packing or even shelf work before, list it first. It shows you already know how to handle stock.
• Arrive for the interview in closed shoes. Some warehouses walk you through the floor straight away.
