Returns Processing Hand

This is steady, physical warehouse work at a clothing distribution centre in Gqeberha, and nobody minds if it's your first job. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

The site is in Gqeberha; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Wear thermal gear and rotate in and out of freezer zones on schedule
• Replenish empty pick faces from overstock racking
• Unpack returned parcels and sort them into resell or write-off
• Report damaged, short or expired items to the shift supervisor
• Stack finished orders on pallets and stretch-wrap them tight
• Label boxes with the correct waybill and route sticker

• Happy to work shifts, weekends and public holidays in peak season
• You can read product codes and count accurately
• You're fit enough to lift boxes up to 25kg all shift
• South African ID or a valid work permit
• Clean criminal record (most warehouses run a check)
• Punctual, with reliable transport home after late shifts

• Living within walking or taxi distance of the warehouse
• A valid forklift or reach truck certificate

• Permanent appointment for reliable temps after peak season
• Safety boots, overalls and freezer jackets supplied
• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half on weekdays

• Say clearly that you can work nights and weekends. Peak-season hiring goes to people who are available.
• Arrive for the interview in closed shoes. Some warehouses walk you through the floor straight away.
