Job Description

This is steady, physical warehouse work at an online grocery fulfilment hub in Mamelodi, and nobody minds if it's your first job. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

You'll report in Mamelodi. Relocation is not covered for this one. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

The work, day to day

  • Move pallets with a hand pallet jack to the dispatch lane
  • Count stock during weekly cycle counts and month-end stock takes
  • Stack finished orders on pallets and stretch-wrap them tight
  • Scan every item so the system shows the right stock count
  • Unpack returned parcels and sort them into resell or write-off
  • Label boxes with the correct waybill and route sticker

You'll need

  • Grade 10 or higher; matric preferred
  • South African ID or a valid work permit
  • You can read product codes and count accurately
  • Happy to work shifts, weekends and public holidays in peak season

Nice if you have

  • Living within walking or taxi distance of the warehouse
  • Previous picking experience with a handheld RF scanner

What's in it for you

  • Chance to be trained on forklift after probation
  • Permanent appointment for reliable temps after peak season
  • Safety boots, overalls and freezer jackets supplied

Applying, step by step

  1. Make sure the role, the hours and working in Mamelodi really suit you before you apply.
  2. Get these ready, because shortlisted people are asked for them straight away: certified copy of your ID plus any forklift or first-aid certificates you already have.
  3. Fill in the short form below with your name and a phone number you actually answer.
  4. If you're shortlisted you'll hear from us within 6 working days, usually by phone.

Your application joins the How2Apply talent pool for this role, and we put shortlisted people forward to employers hiring in and around Mamelodi.

How2Apply never charges you to apply, for training, for uniforms or for a "placement fee". If anyone asks you for money, it is a scam.

Tips to get shortlisted

  • Say clearly that you can work nights and weekends. Peak-season hiring goes to people who are available.
  • If you have done any stock counts, packing or even shelf work before, list it first. It shows you already know how to handle stock.
