You'll keep a busy online grocery fulfilment hub in Soweto stocked, picked and moving out on time. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

The work is in Soweto, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Scan every item so the system shows the right stock count
• Pick orders from pick slips or a handheld scanner, bin by bin
• Keep aisles clear of plastic, cardboard and loose pallets
• Pack cartons, add fillers and seal them with tape guns
• Stack finished orders on pallets and stretch-wrap them tight
• Replenish empty pick faces from overstock racking
• Count stock during weekly cycle counts and month-end stock takes

• Punctual, with reliable transport home after late shifts
• You can read product codes and count accurately
• Willing to wear safety boots, a reflector vest and gloves
• Grade 10 or higher; matric preferred
• Clean criminal record (most warehouses run a check)
• Happy to work shifts, weekends and public holidays in peak season

• Living within walking or taxi distance of the warehouse
• A valid forklift or reach truck certificate

• Staff canteen with subsidised meals
• Safety boots, overalls and freezer jackets supplied
• Permanent appointment for reliable temps after peak season

• If you have done any stock counts, packing or even shelf work before, list it first. It shows you already know how to handle stock.
• Arrive for the interview in closed shoes. Some warehouses walk you through the floor straight away.
