Job Description

Behind every truck on the road is a controller; at a distribution depot in Krugersdorp, that could be you. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

Home base is a distribution depot on the Krugersdorp side of Gauteng.

What you'll actually do

Assign trucks and drivers to routes and track them on telematics
Check driver hours so nobody drives too long without rest
Keep a register of PrDP and licence expiry dates for all drivers
Update customers on delivery times and delays
Arrange breakdown recovery and replacement vehicles

You'll need

Calm and decisive when things go wrong
Clear on the phone with drivers and customers
Matric
At least 2 years in transport or logistics
Knowledge of South African road freight regulations
Good with Excel and email

Extra points for

Experience on a vehicle telematics platform
Logistics or supply chain certificate
