Route Planner (Last-Mile Deliveries) – Experienced

Get off the road and into the control office at a road freight company in Mokopane. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

This post is in Mokopane (Limpopo). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Compile daily reports on trips completed and late deliveries
• Plan daily loads to use full truck capacity
• Book vehicle services, licence renewals and roadworthy tests
• Assign trucks and drivers to routes and track them on telematics
• Check driver hours so nobody drives too long without rest
• Keep a register of PrDP and licence expiry dates for all drivers

• Matric
• Clear on the phone with drivers and customers
• At least 2 years in transport or logistics
• Good with Excel and email

• Office-based work with a steady roster
• Training on the fleet and tracking systems
• Growth to transport manager
• Cellphone allowance for standby shifts

• Give the fleet size and route types you handled, for example "40 trucks, long-haul and local". Hiring managers want scale.
• Mention the tracking and Excel skills you have. Bring an example report if you are allowed to share one.
