Safety Representative Coordinator (Road Works) – Permanent

The high-rise residential project in Hammarsdale needs a safety officer who is on the site, not stuck in the container office. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

Home base is a high-rise residential project on the Hammarsdale side of KwaZulu-Natal. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Hold toolbox talks on topics that match the week's work
• Investigate incidents and near misses and report them on time
• Keep appointment letters and competency certificates in the file
• Compile and maintain the site health and safety file under the Construction Regulations 2014
• Write and review risk assessments and safe work method statements
• Prepare monthly safety statistics for the client's agent

• SACPCMP registration as a Construction Health and Safety Officer
• SAMTRAC or an NQF-accredited health and safety qualification
• Good understanding of the OHS Act and Construction Regulations 2014
• You write clear reports in English

• Fall protection planner training
• ISO 45001 internal auditor course
• Diploma in Safety Management

• Laptop and data for reporting
• Clear growth path to a construction health and safety agent role
• Paid SACPCMP renewal and CPD
