Job Description

Every person goes home in one piece. That is the job on this renewable energy construction site in Newcastle. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

You'll report in Newcastle. Relocation is not covered for this one.

What your day looks like

  • Investigate incidents and near misses and report them on time
  • Prepare monthly safety statistics for the client's agent
  • Compile and maintain the site health and safety file under the Construction Regulations 2014
  • Keep appointment letters and competency certificates in the file
  • Check that fall protection plans are in place for work at height
  • Run site inductions for every new worker and visitor

What you need

  • You write clear reports in English
  • SACPCMP registration as a Construction Health and Safety Officer
  • Confident enough to stop unsafe work, even when the programme is tight
  • First Aid Level 1 at least
  • At least 2 years as a safety officer on construction sites
