Safety Representative Coordinator (Road Works)

You'll keep the site legal and the workers safe for the road construction project in White River. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

You'll be based at a road construction project in White River. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Audit subcontractor safety files before they start work
• Hold toolbox talks on topics that match the week's work
• Check that fall protection plans are in place for work at height
• Run site inductions for every new worker and visitor
• Investigate incidents and near misses and report them on time

• First Aid Level 1 at least
• SACPCMP registration as a Construction Health and Safety Officer
• SAMTRAC or an NQF-accredited health and safety qualification
• At least 2 years as a safety officer on construction sites
• Good understanding of the OHS Act and Construction Regulations 2014

• Experience on renewable energy or high-rise projects
• Diploma in Safety Management
• ISO 45001 internal auditor course

• Laptop and data for reporting
• Travel and site allowances
• Clear growth path to a construction health and safety agent role
