Job Description

This packaging manufacturer in East London wants someone who can open doors and keep accounts for years. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

You'll be based at a packaging manufacturer in East London. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

What your day looks like

Respond to RFQs and tenders with complete supplier packs, including B-BBEE certificates.
Attend trade shows and industry breakfasts to meet buyers.
Book and run discovery meetings with buyers and procurement managers.
Forecast monthly sales and report pipeline value each Monday.
Chase overdue accounts with the credit department before they grow.
Negotiate contract terms, rentals and service-level agreements.
Prospect new companies by phone, LinkedIn and walk-ins in business parks.

What you need

Resilient enough to handle long sales cycles and rejection
You close deals, not just collect meetings
Matric plus a sales, marketing or technical qualification
2 or more years of business-to-business sales with a proven record

Helpful, not essential

Tender and CSD registration experience
A technical trade or engineering background for sales engineer roles
An existing network of buyers in your sector
