Job Description

This courier and freight company in Midrand wants someone who can open doors and keep accounts for years. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

This post is Midrand-based, with most of your time spent at a courier and freight company. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

The work, day to day

Respond to RFQs and tenders with complete supplier packs, including B-BBEE certificates.
Negotiate contract terms, rentals and service-level agreements.
Book and run discovery meetings with buyers and procurement managers.
Work with operations to hand over new clients smoothly.
Visit key accounts monthly and check how the service is going.
Build quotes and proposals with correct pricing and margins.
Forecast monthly sales and report pipeline value each Monday.

Must-haves

You close deals, not just collect meetings
Valid driver's licence and your own reliable car
2 or more years of business-to-business sales with a proven record
Confident with Excel, Outlook and a CRM
Resilient enough to handle long sales cycles and rejection

Extra points for

Salesforce, Zoho or HubSpot CRM experience
A technical trade or engineering background for sales engineer roles
