Sales Rep (Beverages, Code 08)

Out on the road for a snack and confectionery wholesaler in Durban Central, your car is your office and the store floor is your pitch. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

• Open new accounts with taverns, spazas and independent retailers.
• Set up promotional displays and check planogram compliance with photos.
• Visit 8 to 15 outlets a day on a planned call cycle.
• Check shelf prices against the promo list and fix wrong tickets.
• Handle returns and credit claims for damaged stock.
• Log kilometres and fuel slips for the monthly claim.
• Pack shelves, rotate stock and remove damaged or expired lines.

• You know the townships, suburbs and main roads of your area
• 1 to 3 years of FMCG, merchandising or route sales experience
• Good with people from store managers to tuck-shop owners
• Matric

• Speaking two or more local languages
• Existing relationships with independent retailers
• A sales or marketing certificate

• Cellphone and data allowance
• Branded uniform and safety boots
• Product samples and staff pricing
