Security Area Manager (Night Rounds)

You'll run a shift of officers at a mining operation in George, keeping posts covered and standards high. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

The work is in George, Western Cape, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Check that PSIRA registrations of staff on site are current
• Plan the monthly roster to stay within legal working hours
• Do surprise night visits to check posts
• Handle discipline issues fairly and keep written records
• Investigate incidents and write reports for the client

• At least 3 years in security, including 1 as a supervisor
• Valid Code 8 licence and willing to drive between sites
• Available after hours for emergencies
• Firm with staff but fair and consistent
• Matric, with a security management course a plus

• Mining or hospital security experience
• Labour relations or basic supervision course

• Company vehicle or car allowance on area roles
• Provident fund and funeral cover
• Management training for growth to operations manager
