Security Operations Supervisor (Retail Portfolio)

Officers look to you on every shift at a residential estate in Mahikeng. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

This post is in Mahikeng (North West). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Run on-site training on procedures and emergency drills
• Check that PSIRA registrations of staff on site are current
• Handle discipline issues fairly and keep written records
• Meet the client weekly on security concerns
• Do surprise night visits to check posts
• Inspect guards on post for uniform, alertness and OB entries

• Matric, with a security management course a plus
• Available after hours for emergencies
• Confident writer of incident reports and rosters
• PSIRA Grade B (Grade A for area manager posts)

• Handgun competency for armed supervisor posts
• Computer skills for rosters in Excel or a workforce app

• Company vehicle or car allowance on area roles
• Provident fund and funeral cover
• Cellphone allowance

• If you have been upgraded through the grades, show the progression. It proves you grew on the job.
• Mention how you handled absenteeism or roster gaps. It is the biggest daily headache for security companies.
