Job Description

You'll run a shift of officers at a mining operation in Benoni, keeping posts covered and standards high. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

This post is in Benoni (Gauteng). Please only apply if you can travel there daily.

What you'll actually do

Plan the monthly roster to stay within legal working hours
Post officers when the shift changes over and cover no-shows
Do surprise night visits to check posts
Check that PSIRA registrations of staff on site are current
Handle discipline issues fairly and keep written records
Meet the client weekly on security concerns

You'll need

At least 3 years in security, including 1 as a supervisor
Firm with staff but fair and consistent
PSIRA Grade B (Grade A for area manager posts)
Valid Code 8 licence and willing to drive between sites

Nice if you have

Mining or hospital security experience
Handgun competency for armed supervisor posts
