Security Site Supervisor (Grade B) – Experienced

Step up from guarding into supervising on a residential estate in Krugersdorp. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

Home base is a residential estate on the Krugersdorp side of Gauteng. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Handle discipline issues fairly and keep written records
• Investigate incidents and write reports for the client
• Post officers when the shift changes over and cover no-shows
• Meet the client weekly on security concerns
• Run on-site training on procedures and emergency drills
• Check that PSIRA registrations of staff on site are current
• Order and issue uniform, radios and torches

• Matric, with a security management course a plus
• Valid Code 8 licence and willing to drive between sites
• Firm with staff but fair and consistent
• PSIRA Grade B (Grade A for area manager posts)
• Confident writer of incident reports and rosters

• Labour relations or basic supervision course
• Handgun competency for armed supervisor posts

• Management training for growth to operations manager
• Cellphone allowance
• Provident fund and funeral cover

• Say how many officers you supervised and on which sites. The number matters more than the title.
• Mention how you handled absenteeism or roster gaps. It is the biggest daily headache for security companies.
