Job Description

You'll build and ship features that real users touch every day, for a logistics software company in George. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

Home base is a logistics software company on the George side of Western Cape. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

What you'll actually do

Pick up tickets from the sprint board and estimate the work
Design database tables and write efficient SQL queries
Investigate production bugs using logs and monitoring dashboards
Build and consume REST or GraphQL APIs
Document how your features work for support and new developers
Write unit and integration tests before you merge
Join daily stand-ups and sprint planning

What you need

You can explain technical choices to non-technical people
Solid Git habits: branches, pull requests and meaningful commit messages
Experience writing automated tests
Stable internet and a quiet workspace for remote days

Extra points for

Cloud certification on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
Experience in regulated sectors such as banking or medical schemes
Docker and Kubernetes experience
