Senior Python Developer (Data Platforms)

You'll build and ship features that real users touch every day, for an e-commerce platform in Mokopane. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

The work is in Mokopane, Limpopo, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Handle personal data safely, with POPIA rules in mind
• Pick up tickets from the sprint board and estimate the work
• Write, test and refactor code in your team's main language
• Join daily stand-ups and sprint planning
• Write unit and integration tests before you merge
• Investigate production bugs using logs and monitoring dashboards
• Review teammates' pull requests with useful comments

• A computer science or IT qualification, or a portfolio that proves you can build
• Good SQL and understanding of relational databases
• You can explain technical choices to non-technical people
• Solid Git habits: branches, pull requests and meaningful commit messages
• Commercial experience in at least one of PHP, C#, Java, Python or JavaScript
• Stable internet and a quiet workspace for remote days
