Senior Quantity Surveyor (Civil Projects)

Make sure every rand on site is counted, claimed and certified for the quantity surveying practice in Centurion. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

Home base is a quantity surveying practice on the Centurion side of Gauteng.

• Take off quantities from drawings to build a bill of quantities
• Price tenders using supplier quotes, labour rates and plant costs
• Draft subcontract agreements and payment schedules
• Use measuring software to do take-offs from PDF and CAD drawings
• Track budget against actual cost and flag overruns early
• Update cash flow forecasts for the project manager
• Get quotes from subcontractors and compare them line by line

• Accurate with numbers and able to back up every figure you certify
• Code 08 licence for site visits
• Understanding of JBCC Principal Building Agreement clauses
• You know the Standard System of Measuring Building Work
• Strong Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables
• BSc, BTech or Diploma in Quantity Surveying

• Honours degree in Quantity Surveying
• Experience with civil bills using the SANS 1200 standard

• Paid SACQSP registration fees and CPD courses
• Study support for an honours degree
• Travel allowance for site visits
• Hybrid days in the office and on site
