Senior Quantity Surveyor (Civil Projects)

You'll measure, price and manage the money on building projects for the shopfitting company in Fourways. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

Home base is a shopfitting company on the Fourways side of Gauteng.

• Prepare the final account at the end of the project
• Price tenders using supplier quotes, labour rates and plant costs
• Track budget against actual cost and flag overruns early
• Measure work on site for monthly interim payment certificates
• Get quotes from subcontractors and compare them line by line
• Use measuring software to do take-offs from PDF and CAD drawings
• Value variations and prepare claims under JBCC or GCC conditions

• Understanding of JBCC Principal Building Agreement clauses
• BSc, BTech or Diploma in Quantity Surveying
• You know the Standard System of Measuring Building Work
• Strong Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables

• Honours degree in Quantity Surveying
• Experience with civil bills using the SANS 1200 standard

• Paid SACQSP registration fees and CPD courses
• Hybrid days in the office and on site
