Job Description

Shoppers in Ermelo judge a hardware and building store by its shelves, and that is where you come in. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

Home base is a hardware and building store on the Ermelo side of Mpumalanga.

The work, day to day

Check sell-by dates and pull expired stock for the manager
Build promotional displays at the ends of aisles
Pack shelves from the back, rotating older stock to the front (first in, first out)
Clean spills fast and put up wet-floor signs
Put up price tickets and promotion shelf strips
Face products so labels point forward and gaps are filled
Unpack deliveries in the receiving area and sort by aisle

What you need

Available for weekends, month-end and public holidays
Able to stand and lift cases all shift
Polite with customers and happy to help
Honest, since stock losses are checked closely
Neat appearance and punctual
Basic reading and maths for price checks

Nice if you have

Some till or cash-handling experience
Previous shelf packing or merchandising work

What you get
