Shift Supervisor (Guarding Contract)

Officers look to you on every shift at a residential estate in Polokwane. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

The work is in Polokwane, Limpopo, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Order and issue uniform, radios and torches
• Handle discipline issues fairly and keep written records
• Run on-site training on procedures and emergency drills
• Do surprise night visits to check posts
• Post officers when the shift changes over and cover no-shows
• Investigate incidents and write reports for the client
• Plan the monthly roster to stay within legal working hours

• Matric, with a security management course a plus
• Available after hours for emergencies
• Confident writer of incident reports and rosters
• Firm with staff but fair and consistent
• Valid Code 8 licence and willing to drive between sites
• At least 3 years in security, including 1 as a supervisor

• Own reliable vehicle
• Mining or hospital security experience

• Company vehicle or car allowance on area roles

• Management training for growth to operations manager
• Cellphone allowance
