Skills Development Facilitator (Learnerships)

You'll train adult learners at a manufacturing plant training room in Brits and get them through their qualification. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

You'll be based at a manufacturing plant training room in Brits. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Load learner results onto the SETA or QCTO system
• Sit in on workplace visits to confirm learners are doing real tasks
• Give feedback on course materials so the next intake runs better
• Develop lesson plans, case studies and assessment guides
• Coach learners who are behind and plan re-assessments
• Keep attendance registers and learner files ready for SETA verification

• Good report writing and record keeping
• Registered assessor, with moderator registration for moderator posts
• At least 3 years of working experience in the subject field
• Computer literate in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Own transport for training at client sites

• Experience with QCTO occupational qualifications
• Trade test certificate for artisan training posts

• Paid re-registration with your SETA
• Day-rate contracts with steady bookings
• Travel allowance or company car for site training
• Holiday breaks between intakes at colleges

• Show your industry years separately from your training years; providers need both.
• Say which unit standards or occupational qualifications you're registered for; this decides where you can be used.
