Soft Skills Trainer (Corporate Academy)

You'll train adult learners at a corporate training academy in Pinetown and get them through their qualification. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

Location: Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Keep attendance registers and learner files ready for SETA verification
• Give feedback on course materials so the next intake runs better
• Facilitate classroom and workplace sessions against the learning programme
• Run practical demonstrations in the workshop with safety briefings
• Assess portfolios of evidence and write clear feedback to learners
• Moderate other assessors' decisions and sign off moderation reports
• Sit in on workplace visits to confirm learners are doing real tasks

• Own transport for training at client sites
• Relevant qualification at least one NQF level above the one you'll teach
• Confident presenting to groups of 20 or more adults
• Computer literate in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• At least 3 years of working experience in the subject field

• Teaching qualification or Higher Certificate in adult education
• SDF registration and WSP/ATR submission experience
• Trade test certificate for artisan training posts

• Travel allowance or company car for site training
• Paid re-registration with your SETA
• Holiday breaks between intakes at colleges
• Day-rate contracts with steady bookings

• Show your industry years separately from your training years; providers need both.
• Put your assessor registration number and the SETA it sits with at the top of your CV.
