Soft Skills Trainer (Corporate Academy)

Here your industry experience becomes lessons for the next group of learners, at a manufacturing plant training room in Umhlanga. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

This post is in Umhlanga (KwaZulu-Natal). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Coach learners who are behind and plan re-assessments
• Assess portfolios of evidence and write clear feedback to learners
• Give feedback on course materials so the next intake runs better
• Moderate other assessors' decisions and sign off moderation reports
• Keep attendance registers and learner files ready for SETA verification
• Run practical demonstrations in the workshop with safety briefings

• Computer literate in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Own transport for training at client sites
• Registered assessor, with moderator registration for moderator posts
• At least 3 years of working experience in the subject field

• Experience with QCTO occupational qualifications
• Teaching qualification or Higher Certificate in adult education

• Paid re-registration with your SETA
• Holiday breaks between intakes at colleges
• Travel allowance or company car for site training
• Day-rate contracts with steady bookings

• Put your assessor registration number and the SETA it sits with at the top of your CV.
