Job Description

You'll build and ship features that real users touch every day, for an insurance company software team in Randburg. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

You'll report in Randburg. Relocation is not covered for this one.

What your day looks like

Pair with junior developers to unblock them
Deploy through a CI/CD pipeline on Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or GitLab
Handle personal data safely, with POPIA rules in mind
Investigate production bugs using logs and monitoring dashboards
Document how your features work for support and new developers
Design database tables and write efficient SQL queries

What you need

You can explain technical choices to non-technical people
Solid Git habits: branches, pull requests and meaningful commit messages
Experience writing automated tests
Commercial experience in at least one of PHP, C#, Java, Python or JavaScript
Stable internet and a quiet workspace for remote days

Nice if you have

Public GitHub portfolio or published app
Cloud certification on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
