Job Description

You'll drive tractors and farm machines on a maize and soya farm near Potchefstroom through planting and harvest. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

Home base is a maize and soya farm on the Potchefstroom side of North West. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

What your day looks like

Check oil, water, tyres and grease points before starting
Mix and apply sprays exactly as the farm manager prescribes
Wash equipment after spraying and store chemicals safely
Plant rows straight, using GPS guidance where the tractor has it
Operate combine harvesters during harvest season

Must-haves

Willing to work long hours in planting and harvest seasons
Reliable and sober on duty
Available to live on or near the farm
Can read job cards and spray instructions
Basic understanding of implements and settings
At least 2 years driving tractors on a farm

Nice if you have

Code 8 or Code 10 licence for road trips
Combine harvester experience
