Stock Packer (Distribution Centre)

Every order that leaves this frozen-food distribution centre in Gqeberha passes through your hands first. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

The site is in Gqeberha; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Move pallets with a hand pallet jack to the dispatch lane
• Wear thermal gear and rotate in and out of freezer zones on schedule
• Pick orders from pick slips or a handheld scanner, bin by bin
• Label boxes with the correct waybill and route sticker
• Replenish empty pick faces from overstock racking
• Scan every item so the system shows the right stock count

• Clean criminal record (most warehouses run a check)
• Willing to wear safety boots, a reflector vest and gloves
• You can read product codes and count accurately
• You're fit enough to lift boxes up to 25kg all shift
• Punctual, with reliable transport home after late shifts
• South African ID or a valid work permit

• Previous picking experience with a handheld RF scanner
• A valid forklift or reach truck certificate
• Experience in a cold-chain or freezer environment

• Staff canteen with subsidised meals
• Chance to be trained on forklift after probation
• Safety boots, overalls and freezer jackets supplied

• If you have done any stock counts, packing or even shelf work before, list it first. It shows you already know how to handle stock.
• Arrive for the interview in closed shoes. Some warehouses walk you through the floor straight away.
