Stock Packer (Distribution Centre)

This is steady, physical warehouse work at a building-supplies depot in Gqeberha, and nobody minds if it's your first job. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

Home base is a building-supplies depot on the Gqeberha side of Eastern Cape. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Scan every item so the system shows the right stock count
• Label boxes with the correct waybill and route sticker
• Unpack returned parcels and sort them into resell or write-off
• Keep aisles clear of plastic, cardboard and loose pallets
• Count stock during weekly cycle counts and month-end stock takes

• Grade 10 or higher; matric preferred
• South African ID or a valid work permit
• Clean criminal record (most warehouses run a check)
• You can read product codes and count accurately

• Chance to be trained on forklift after probation
• Staff canteen with subsidised meals
• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half on weekdays

• Say clearly that you can work nights and weekends. Peak-season hiring goes to people who are available.
• If you have done any stock counts, packing or even shelf work before, list it first. It shows you already know how to handle stock.
