Stock Packer (Distribution Centre) – Entry Level

You'll keep a busy clothing distribution centre in Midrand stocked, picked and moving out on time. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

Home base is a clothing distribution centre on the Midrand side of Gauteng.

• Label boxes with the correct waybill and route sticker
• Pick orders from pick slips or a handheld scanner, bin by bin
• Replenish empty pick faces from overstock racking
• Pack cartons, add fillers and seal them with tape guns
• Count stock during weekly cycle counts and month-end stock takes
• Move pallets with a hand pallet jack to the dispatch lane
• Stack finished orders on pallets and stretch-wrap them tight

• Clean criminal record (most warehouses run a check)
• Willing to wear safety boots, a reflector vest and gloves
• You're fit enough to lift boxes up to 25kg all shift
• Grade 10 or higher; matric preferred
• South African ID or a valid work permit

• Basic computer skills for capturing counts
• A valid forklift or reach truck certificate
• Previous picking experience with a handheld RF scanner

• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half on weekdays
• Staff canteen with subsidised meals
• Chance to be trained on forklift after probation
