Tactical Response Officer (Night Shift) – Experienced

When a panic button goes off in a farming district in Mahikeng, you are the one who arrives first. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

Home base is a farming district on the Mahikeng side of North West. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Write detailed incident reports on the tablet or in the vehicle logbook
• Visit clients for key-holder checks and open-up requests
• Check the firearm in and out of the safe at shift start and end
• Search the property perimeter and check doors, windows and gates
• Do vehicle checks: tyres, fuel, lights and siren
• Secure a scene until SAPS arrives and hand over details

• Calm under pressure and physically fit
• PSIRA Grade B or C with an armed response course
• At least 2 years in guarding or response
• Able to work 12-hour rotating shifts
• Clean criminal record and no pending cases

• Advanced driving course
• First-aid Level 2 or 3

• Response vehicle and firearm provided
• Danger and night allowances
• Regular refresher shooting practice
• Group life cover through the provident fund

• Bring the originals of your certificates to the interview. Armed companies verify them before a shooting test.
• Put your firearm competency and armed response course at the top. Without both, the CV is not read further.
