Tactical Response Officer (Night Shift) – Permanent

When a panic button goes off in a business park in Rosslyn, you are the one who arrives first. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

The site is in Rosslyn; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Search the property perimeter and check doors, windows and gates
• Check the firearm in and out of the safe at shift start and end
• Drive the response vehicle safely at speed to client addresses
• Visit clients for key-holder checks and open-up requests
• Write detailed incident reports on the tablet or in the vehicle logbook

• Calm under pressure and physically fit
• SAPS firearm competency certificate for handguns (and shotgun if required)
• Valid Code 8 or Code 10 licence with at least 2 years driving
• Able to work 12-hour rotating shifts
• Clean criminal record and no pending cases
• PSIRA Grade B or C with an armed response course

• Regular refresher shooting practice
• Response vehicle and firearm provided
• Group life cover through the provident fund
