Tracking Control Room Agent (Vehicle Recovery)

From a chair in a shopping mall security office in George, you guide officers in the field to where they are needed. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

Home base is a shopping mall security office on the George side of Western Cape. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Dispatch the nearest response vehicle over the radio
• Track stolen vehicles on the map and guide recovery teams
• Talk down intruders over on-site speakers when the system allows
• Pull and save video footage for incident investigations
• Monitor live CCTV feeds and zoom in on suspicious movement

• Good memory for sites, streets and procedures
• PSIRA registration, Grade C or higher
• Computer literate and quick on a keyboard
• No criminal convictions (vetting is done before you start)

• Call centre work in the past
• Speaking more than one local language
• Experience on a CCTV or alarm monitoring platform

• Shift allowance for nights
• Indoor, air-conditioned work environment
• Path to senior controller or supervisor

• Mention any software you have used: alarm monitoring, CCTV or even call centre systems. Control rooms need people who learn screens fast.
• Some companies give a typing and map test. Practise finding streets on a map quickly before the interview.
