Job Description

If you know tractors, a fruit orchard near Rustenburg has steady work for you. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

You'll report in Rustenburg. Relocation is not covered for this one. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

What you'll actually do

Operate combine harvesters during harvest season
Check oil, water, tyres and grease points before starting
Plant rows straight, using GPS guidance where the tractor has it
Report breakdowns and help the mechanic with repairs
Record hours, fuel and fields worked on the job card
Haul cane, grain or fruit bins from field to shed

Must-haves

Available to live on or near the farm
Can read job cards and spray instructions
Basic understanding of implements and settings
Safe driver who respects chemical and machine safety

Nice if you have

Experience with GPS guidance or auto-steer
Code 8 or Code 10 licence for road trips
Combine harvester experience
