Tractor Driver (Grain Farm)

Planting to harvest, a sugar cane estate near Secunda runs on good tractor drivers. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

The work is in Secunda, Mpumalanga, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Haul cane, grain or fruit bins from field to shed
• Operate combine harvesters during harvest season
• Wash equipment after spraying and store chemicals safely
• Mix and apply sprays exactly as the farm manager prescribes
• Clear firebreaks and grade farm roads when needed
• Check oil, water, tyres and grease points before starting
• Report breakdowns and help the mechanic with repairs

• Safe driver who respects chemical and machine safety
• Willing to work long hours in planting and harvest seasons
