Trainee Accountant (SAICA Training Contract)

Month-end, year-end and audit prep all run through you at an agricultural co-operative in Mamelodi. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

This post is in Mamelodi (Gauteng). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Run cash flow forecasts and manage the weekly payment run
• Improve controls, such as segregation of duties on supplier changes
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and clear old reconciling items
• Review creditors, debtors and payroll journals from the clerks
• Prepare the audit file and answer auditor queries

• You meet month-end deadlines without being chased
• Working knowledge of IFRS or IFRS for SMEs
• BCom Accounting or equivalent degree
• Experience on an ERP such as Sage X3, Sage 300, Syspro or SAP Business One

• CA(SA) with SAICA, or AGA(SA) or Professional Accountant (SA) with SAIPA
• CIMA qualification for management accounting posts
