Trainee Accountant (SAICA Training Contract)

You'll own the monthly numbers for a logistics company in Randburg, from journals to the management pack. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

Location: Randburg, Gauteng. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Run cash flow forecasts and manage the weekly payment run
• Run the month-end close and prepare the trial balance
• Track stock costing, standard costs and production variances
• Prepare monthly management accounts with variance commentary
• Maintain the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules
• Improve controls, such as segregation of duties on supplier changes

• You meet month-end deadlines without being chased
• BCom Accounting or equivalent degree
• At least 3 years of post-qualification accounting experience
• Strong Excel skills, including large data sets and lookups

• CA(SA) with SAICA, or AGA(SA) or Professional Accountant (SA) with SAIPA
• CIMA qualification for management accounting posts
• Consolidation experience across several companies
