Job Description

Trucks, drivers, loads and deadlines all meet on your screen at a distribution depot in Lephalale. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

Home base is a distribution depot on the Lephalale side of Limpopo. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

What your day looks like

Compile daily reports on trips completed and late deliveries
Assign trucks and drivers to routes and track them on telematics
Update customers on delivery times and delays
Plan daily loads to use full truck capacity
Book vehicle services, licence renewals and roadworthy tests
Capture trip sheets, fuel and toll costs on the system
Arrange breakdown recovery and replacement vehicles

Must-haves

At least 2 years in transport or logistics
Calm and decisive when things go wrong
Clear on the phone with drivers and customers
Knowledge of South African road freight regulations
Good with Excel and email

Nice if you have

Transport management system (TMS) experience
Logistics or supply chain certificate
Experience on a vehicle telematics platform
