Transport Controller (Long Haul Fleet) – Immediate Start

You'll plan the loads and watch the trucks for a bus and coach operator in Pretoria West, keeping every trip on time. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

Home base is a bus and coach operator on the Pretoria West side of Gauteng.

• Plan daily loads to use full truck capacity
• Assign trucks and drivers to routes and track them on telematics
• Phone drivers when trucks stop too long or go off-route
• Keep a register of PrDP and licence expiry dates for all drivers
• Capture trip sheets, fuel and toll costs on the system

• Clear on the phone with drivers and customers
• Knowledge of South African road freight regulations
• Good with Excel and email
• At least 2 years in transport or logistics
• Able to work shifts in a 24-hour control office
• Calm and decisive when things go wrong

• Transport management system (TMS) experience
• Experience on a vehicle telematics platform

• Training on the fleet and tracking systems
• Cellphone allowance for standby shifts
• Office-based work with a steady roster
• Growth to transport manager
