Trolley and Parcel Assistant – Entry Level

Start in retail here: a hardware and building store in Kariega trains packers who show up and work neat. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

You'll be based at a hardware and building store in Kariega. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Pack shelves from the back, rotating older stock to the front (first in, first out)
• Help customers find products and carry heavy items to cars
• Put up price tickets and promotion shelf strips
• Face products so labels point forward and gaps are filled
• Build promotional displays at the ends of aisles
• Weigh, bag and price fruit and vegetables

• Able to stand and lift cases all shift
• Basic reading and maths for price checks
• Honest, since stock losses are checked closely
• Polite with customers and happy to help
• Neat appearance and punctual

• Some till or cash-handling experience
• Being 18 or older for liquor store roles
• Own transport for route merchandising jobs

• Paid training in store procedures

• Hand your CV in at the store in person, early in the week, and ask for the store or receiving manager by name.
