Truck Loader (Night Shift)

Trucks come in heavy and leave loaded at this furniture retailer warehouse in Ermelo, and you move the stock in between. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

This post is Ermelo-based, with most of your time spent at a furniture retailer warehouse.

• Assemble or place furniture where the customer asks
• Strap and secure loads so nothing shifts in transit
• Stack returns and empties neatly for the next count
• Offload containers by hand, counting cartons as they come off
• Check goods received against the delivery note and flag shorts
• Sweep the bay and clear shrink-wrap after each loading

• Willing to travel on routes that return late
• Friendly with customers at the door
• Able to lift and carry heavy items all day
• Honest; you will be handling customer goods and cash-on-delivery slips
• Grade 9 or higher and able to read a delivery note
• No criminal record

• Past work as a driver's assistant
• Speaking more than one local language for customer drops
• Basic furniture assembly skills

• Uniform and safety shoes provided
• Meal allowance on long-route days
• Route-completion incentives in busy months
• Help to get your own licence through the company later

• Say what hours you can start. Loading bays often hire the person who can be there at 04:00 without fail.
• If you are learning to drive, mention it. Depots like to grow assistants into drivers.
